THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br /> <br />BY-LAW # 20-2001 <br /> <br />A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW # 3272-97 BEING A BY-LAW TO <br />DESIGNATE SITE SERVICE AREAS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF <br />SOLID WASTE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under authority of The Municipal Act, Chapter M45, Section 209 <br />(10), R.S.O. 1990, the Corporation of the County of Essex has an exclusive jurisdictiOn <br />and has assumed the powers described therein as they pertain to waste disposal, <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, By-law # 2847, being a by-law to empower the County to <br />prepare and adopt a waste management plan and to assume selected waste management <br />powers, was adopted by the Corporation of the County of Essex on the 19th day of <br />September, 1990. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, By-law # 3272-97, effective June 30th, 1997 amended By-law <br /># 2847 in order to maintain an orderly transfer of waste upon the closure of Landffil Site <br /># 3 and the opening the Essex-Windsor Regional Landfill Site; <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS municipal restructuring in Essex County created new <br />municipalities; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the Corporation of the County of Essex requires that <br />municipal waste shall be delivered to Landfill sites for disposal, according to the <br />municipality of origin of such waste, as described in Schedule 'A', attached. <br /> <br /> AND FURTHER, that the Warden and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to <br />sign and execute the necessary By-law; <br /> <br />2001. <br /> <br />This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the 16th day of May <br /> PATRICK O'NEIL, WARDEN <br /> <br />MAR~' S.~R'ENNAN, CLERK <br /> <br />1st Reading <br />2nd Reading <br />3rd Reading <br /> <br />June 20~, 2001 <br />June 20~, 2001 <br />June 20m, 2001 <br /> <br /> <br />
