THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br /> <br />BY-LAW NUMBER 38-2000 <br /> <br />A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF A <br />MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES <br />BETWEEN THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br />AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND LONG-TERM CARE <br />WINDSOR PROVINCIAL AMBULANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS the County of Essex is, Pursuant to the provision of the Ambulance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.A. 19, <br />as amended, responsible for the provision of land ambulance services throughout the County of Essex, the <br />City of Windsor and the Township of Pelee; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS pursuant to Sections 6.7(1) and 6.7(3) of the Act, the Ministry has designated the County <br />of Essex as the delivery agent for land ambulance services for the designated area comprised of the County <br />of Essex, the City of Windsor and the Township of Pelee; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS the Council of the County of Essex has determined that, effective December 15th 2000, <br />the former Windsor Provincial Ambulance Service will be operated as a municipal service of the <br />Corporation of the County of Essex; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the COunty of Essex and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care <br />mutually recognize the nell to effectively plan and work together to accomplish a seamless transition of <br />land ambulance service from the Province of Ontario to the County of Essex; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex enacts as follows: <br /> <br />THAT the Warden and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to <br />execute the Memorandum of Understanding on Human Resources between the <br />Corporation of the County of Essex and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care <br />Windsor Provincial Ambulance, a copy of which is attached hereto and forms a part <br />of this by-law, and affix the Corporate Seal thereto. <br /> <br />2.
