THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY-LAW NUMBER 22-2000 A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN UNITIZATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX AND TALISMAN ENERGY INC. WHEREAS By-law Number 3061, dated April 21, 1993, authorized The Corporation of the County of Essex to enter into a Petroleum and Natural Gas Lease and Grant with Telesis Oil and Gas, A Division of British Gas Enterprises (Canada) Limited; AND WHEREAS British Gas Enterprises (Canada) Limited changed its name to Lake Erie Resources Inc., and a notarial copy of the Articles of Amendment have been registered in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of Essex as Instrument No. 1291815; AND WHEREAS Lake Erie Resources Inc. granted a Power of Attorney to Pembina Exploration Limited, which Power of Attorney is registered in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of Essex as Instrument No. 1288489; AND WHEREAS Talisman Energy Inc., Pembina Exploration Limited and Pembina Energy Inc. amalgamated under the name of Talisman Energy Inc. and the Articles of Amalgamation are registered in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of Essex on March 30, 1998 as Instrument No. 1419674; AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the County of Essex deems it expedient to authorize the execution of an Unitization Agreement with Talisman Energy Inc. for the purposes of drilling for and producing oil or gas on property in the Municipality of Leamington, formerly the Township of Mersea, in the County of Essex, parts of Lot 242, North of Talbot Road, known as P.I.N. 01473-0220; NOW THERFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex enacts as follows: THAT the Warden and the Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute, in triplicate, the said Unitization Agreement between the Corporation of the County of Essex and Talisman Energy Inc., a copy of which is attach. This by-law shall come into force and take effect on the 17th day of May, 2000.
