THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br /> <br />BY-LAW NUMBER 18 -2000 <br /> <br />A BY-LAW TO APPOINT AN AREA WEED INSPECTOR FOR <br /> THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br /> <br />WHEREAS under the provision of Section 6 (1) of the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, <br />Chapter W. 5, and amendments thereto, the Council of every County shall by by-law <br />appoint one or more persons as area weed inspectors to enforce the Weed Control Act in <br />the area within the Council's jurisdiction; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex deems it <br />advisable to assign the duties and responsibilities of the Area Weed Inspector under the <br />said Act to the Essex County Roads Maintenance Foreman; <br /> <br />NOW THERFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex enacts as <br />follows: <br /> <br />THAT K. Daniel Newman, Essex County Roads Maintenance Foreman, be <br />and is hereby appointed as Area Weed Inspector for the County of Essex to <br />carry out and perform the duties required of him under the provisions of the <br />Weed Control Act and any amendments thereto and regulations passed <br />thereunder. <br /> <br />2. That the said Area Weed Inspector shall hold office during the pleasure of the <br /> Council and until this by-law is rescinded. <br /> <br />3. That all other by-laws inconsistent to this by-law be hereby repealed. <br /> <br />This by-law shall come into force and take effect on the 19th day of April <br />2000. <br /> <br /> PATRICK O'NEIL, WARDEN <br /> <br />MARY S.
