Page 2 <br />By-law Number 3266-97 (cont'd) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS residential and commercial/industrial millrates will be <br />calculated for County general purposes and for County Library purposes; <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS it is necessary to apportion a levy required for County <br />general purposes among all local municipalities and a levy required for County <br />Library purposes among the County municipalities participating in the Essex <br />County Library System; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE <br />COUNTY OF ESSEX enacts as follows: <br /> <br />THAT the 1997 residential assessment in the amount of $476,924,950 <br />and commercial/industrial assessments in the amount of $136,383,468 <br />as detailed in Schedule 3 attached hereto and forming part of this by-law, <br />be adopted for purposes of calculating the millrates for County general <br />purposes and for determining the levy on all County municipalities. <br /> <br />THAT the 1997 residential assessment in the amount of $430,330,847 <br />and commercial/industrial assessments in the amount of $116,704,030 <br />as detailed in Schedule 4 hereto and forming part of this by-law, be <br />adopted for calculating the millrates for County library purposes and for <br />determining the levy on the mtmicipalities participating in the Essex <br />County Library System. <br /> <br />THAT the estimated share of payments in lieu of taxes and telephone and <br />telegraph receipts for County general purposes in the amount of $438,494 <br />as set our in Schedule 5 attached hereto and forming part of this by-law <br />be adopted. <br /> <br />THAT the amount to be raised by millrates for County general purposes <br />in the amount of $13,075,855 as set out in Schedule 6 attached hereto and <br />forming part of this by-law be adopted. <br /> <br />THAT the amount to be raised by millrates for County Library purposes <br />in the amount of $1,869,255 as set out in Schedule 6 attached hereto and <br />forming part of this by-law be adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />
