BY-LAW NUMBER 2898 CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX WHEREAS subsection 7 of Section 104a of the Highway Traffic Act (R.S.O4 1980, c. 198) as amended provides that: The Municipal Corporation or other authority having jurisdiction over a highway may by by-law designate the date on which a reduced load period shall start or end and the highway or portion thereof under its jurisdiction to which the designation applies; AND WHEREAS the reduced load period is deemed necessary for the protection of certain highways in the Corporation of the County of Essex and therefore the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex enacts as follows: The provisions of subsections 1,2,3 and 4 of section 104a of The Highway Traffic Act apply to the highways named in Schedule "A" during the period from the 1st _day of March to the 30th day of April , inclusive in each and every year. However, this period may be extended to cover the months of February if the County Engineer deems it necessaryl 2. This by-law shall not become effective until appropriate signs have been erected and are on display. The by-law is submitted to the Minister of Transportation and Communications for filing pursuant to subsection 169 (2) of The Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1980, ch. 198. 4. Ail other by-laws inconsistent to this by-law are hereby repealed.
