16, THE CORPORATION OF TEE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY-LAW NUMBER 2872 A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW 2473, PASSED DEC~BER 1981, TO APPOINT A CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX WHEREAS Section 76 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, Chapter 302, empowers the Council, by By-law, to appoint a Chief Administrative Officer AND WHEREAS Sub-Section 45 of Section 208 of the said Act provides that Councils of all municipalities may pass By-Laws for appointing such officers and servants as may be necessary for the purposes of the Corporation, or for carrying into effect the provisions of any Act of the Legislature or By-Law of the Council, and for fixing the remuneration and prescribing the duties thereof, and the security to be given for the performance of them; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex deems it desirable to appoint a Chief Administrative Officer, and to prescribe his duties and responsibilities as hereinafter set forth; AND WHEREAS it is deemed desirable to amend those duties and responsibilities; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: John Curran be and he is appointed Chief Administrative officer of the Corporation of the County of Essex, and shall be hereinafter referred to as the "Administrator". 2. The Administrator's duties and responsibilities shall be: a) General control and management of the adminis- tration of the government and affairs of The Corporation of the County of Essex; b) He shall be responsible only to the Council of The Corporation of the County of Essex for the efficient administration of all its departments. 3. Without limiting the generality of the duties and responsibilities set out in Paragraph 2 above, the Administrator shall:
