BY-LAW NUMBER 2373 <br />A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2262 DESIGNATING HIGHWAYS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Section 135 of The Highway Traffic Act S.O. 1974, <br />Chapter 123, Section 1, Subsection 5 provides that: <br /> <br /> "through highway" means any highway or part of a highway <br />designated as such by the Minister or by by-law of a municipality and <br />every such highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield right-of-way <br />sign in compliance with the regulations of the MiniStry. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS it is desirable to amend By-Law Number 2262, passed <br />on May 25, 1977. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of <br />Essex enacts as follows: <br /> <br />The following highways or parts of highways under the jurisdiction <br />of the County of Essex are desigJ~ted as Through Highways: <br /> <br />COUNTY <br />ROAD <br />NUMBER FROM TO <br /> <br />2. 34 <br /> <br />The North side of King's Highway <br />#3 (West junction), Township of <br />Sandwich South at Maidstone <br /> <br />The Centre Line of Lot 285 <br />Township of Maidstone <br />(West limits Town of Essex) <br /> <br />The Centre Line of Lot 280, <br />Township of Gosfield North <br />(East limits Town of Essex) <br /> <br />The West side of King's <br />Highway #3 (East junction) <br />Township of Gosfield North <br /> <br />This By-law shall become effective upon the final passing thereof <br />when the signs are on display in compliance with the regulations <br />of the Ministry.
