BY -LAW NUMBER 2301 <br />A BY -LAW TO AMEND BY -LAW NUMBER 2262 DESIGNATING THROUGH HIGHWAYS <br />WHEREAS Section 135 of The Highway Traffic Act, S. 0. 1974, <br />Chapter 123, Section 1, Subsection 5 provides that: <br />"through highway" means any highway or part of a highway <br />designated as such by the Minister or by by -law of a municipality and every <br />such highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield right -of -way sign in <br />compliance with the regulations of the Ministry. <br />AND WHEREAS it is desirable to amend By -law Number 2262, passed <br />on May 25, 1977. <br />NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of <br />Essex enacts as follows: <br />1. <br />COUNTY <br />ROAD <br />NUMBER <br />50 <br />go <br />The following highways or parts of highways under the jurisdiction <br />of the County of Essex are designated as Through Highways: <br />FROM <br />The south side of King's Highway <br />1118,east junction, at Kingsville <br />TO <br />The east side of McCain Sideroad <br />The south side of Birch Avenue, <br />Township of Gosfield South <br />The south side of King's Highway <br />#18, west junction, at Malden <br />Centre <br />The intersections on highways set out in Column 1 are designated as <br />intersections where stop signs shall be erected at the locations <br />shown in Column 2. <br />Column 1 <br />Intersect <br />Column 2 <br />Facing Traffic <br />County Road #50 at McCain <br />Sideroad and at Birch Avenue <br />Westbound on County Road 1150 <br />and eastbound on Birch Avenue <br />3. This By -law shall become effective upon the final passing thereof <br />when the signs are on display in compliance with the regulations <br />of the Ministry.
