THIS AGREFMtl~T made this 1st day of September, 1977. BETWEEN: THE CORPORATIC~ OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX, Road Department, hereiD~fter referred to as the CORPORATICN, PAFCY OF THE FIRST PART TEAMSTERS, CHAO~'~'~:oRS, WAREHOUSE~N AND HELPERS, LOCAL 880, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America hereinafter called the UNICa, PAR~Y OF THE SECCND PART WHEREAS the Union has submitted to the Council of the Corporation certain rec~nendations respecting employment and working cc~ditions for employees of the Corporation who perform certain services for the Corporation. AND WHEREAS the said Council has agreed to accept certain reo~m- mendations, and had, by By-law 2181, authorized the execution of this Agreement. THEREFORE, this Agreement witnesseth in consideration of the promise and mutual covenants herein cc~tained, the Parties have agreed as follows: 1.01 The Corporation recognized the Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers, Local 880, as the exclusive Bargaining Agency for all employees save and except For~m~n, those above the rank of Foremen, and Office Staff. 1.02 The Corporation shall discuss with the Union, through its accredited representatives, all matters pertaining to wages, hours of work, seniority, grievances, and other working conditions which may arise between the~ during the life of the Agreement. 1.03 The Corporation agrees that all employees in the unit who are members of the Union in good standing as of the date hereof, shall remain members of the Union as a condition of continued employment and any such employee who ceases to be a m~nber of the Union, shall, forthwith be discharged by the Corporation, provided, however that any employee who is not now a member of the Union shall have the privilege of beccming a member, or not, as he may decide.
