A BY —LAW TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX AND THE CORPORA— TIONS OF THE TOWN OF TECUMSEH AND VILLAGE OF ST. CLAIR BEACH. WHEREAS Section 56 of The Public Transportation & Highway Improvement Act, R. S. 0. 1970 Chapter 201 as amended by 1971, Chapter 61, authorizes the Corporation of the County of Essex to enter into an Agreement with its constituent urban municipalities which have county road extensions or connecting links in the County Road System but not forming part thereof within their borders for the construction of such roads as the public interest demands; AND WHEREAS the said Agreements are intended to provide an equitable distribution of the county road funds between the urban and rural municipalities which make up the County Organization of the County of Essex; AND WHEREAS the Agreement attached hereto and marked Schedule "A" to this By —law is being approved and authorized for the said purpose. NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ENACTED by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex as follows: (1) That the Agreement between the Corporation of the County of Essex and the Corporations of the Town of Tecumseh and the Village of St. Clair Beach, dated the 7th day of June, 1972 attached hereto and marked Schedule "A" be and the same is hereby approved. (2) That the Warden and Clerk of the Corporation of the County of Essex be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to execute the said Agreement under the Seal of the Corporation. (3) That this By —law shall come into force and take effect immediately upon the final passing thereof or upon the final passing of a by— law to authorize and approve of the said Agreement by the Corporations of the Town of Tecumseh and the Village of St. Clair Beach, whichever shall be the later, subject to the approval of the Minister of Transportation & Communica— tions.
