June 4th, 1971. <br />Dear Sir: <br />Re: 1971 Subsidy Allocation <br />Reference By -law No1955 With <br />Supporting Statement of Proposed Expenditure <br />The Honourable Charles MacNaughton, Minister of Transportation <br />and Communications, has authorized a subsidy allocation based on the above - <br />noted by -law and supporting statement of expenditures in the amounts of <br />$ 859, 400 <br />$ 290, 600 <br />$ 1, 150, 000 <br />for Construction <br />for Maintenance <br />Total <br />Please note that where expenditures produce subsidy amounts in <br />excess of either of the above limits, the excess amounts will not be eligible <br />for consideration. <br />This approval is given subject to the approval of each individual <br />work of road and bridge construction, each contract for construction or <br />maintenance and the purchase of each unit of equipment. The District Engineer <br />must be advised and his consent obtained before such works or purchases are <br />advertised or tenders called or any commitment made by the municipality with <br />respect to them. <br />The approval of the Ontario Municipal Board shall be obtained before <br />any expenditure is authorized or work commenced which will be financed by the <br />issue of debentures or monies raised in years subsequent to the term of the <br />present Council. <br />One copy of the submission as approved is returned herewith. <br />Yours very truly, <br />C.
