p MUNICIPALITY OF COUNTY OF ESSEX BYLAW NO. 1950 REGULATING PARKING The Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of the County of Essex enacts as follows: DEFINITIONS For the purpose of this by -law:- "Park" or "parking ", when prohibited, means the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except when standing temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading merchandise or passengers. "Street" or ' Thighway" includes a common or public highway, street, avenue, parkway, driveway, square, place, bridge, viaduct or trestle, designed and intended for, or used by, the general public for the passage of vehicles. "Vehicle" includes a motor vehicle, trailer, traction engine, farm tractor, road - building machine and any vehicle drawn, propelled or driven by any kind of power, including muscular power, but does not include a motorized snow vehicle, the cars of electric or steam railways runmin only upon rails. METHOD DF PARKING No person shall park a vehicle on any street other than a one -way street unless on the right hand side of the street having regard for the direction in which the vehicle had been proceeding and unless the right front and right rear wheels or runners of the vehicle are parallel to and distant respectively not more than six inches from the edge of the roadway. PARKING REGULATIONS When properly worded signs have been erected are on display the highways o out : - no person shall park a vehicle r part of highways hereinafter and on set STREET - COUNTY ROAD 33, Township of Mersea, Bevel Line Road, Both Sides of Road.
