Gomme, Minister of Highways, <br />has authorized the approval of the above-cited by-law to a <br />]imit of <br /> <br />$ 1,023,000.00 for Construction, <br /> <br />$ 421,000.00 for Maintenance, and <br /> <br />$ 1,444~000.00 Total <br /> <br /> Please be advised that expendit~;res in excess of <br />either of these limits will not be eligible for subsidy unless <br />covered by a supplementary by-law approved by the Minister. <br />Supplementary by-laws for unavoidable expenditures in excess <br />of the normal allotment will be considered, but such supple- <br />mentary by-laws should be submitted prior to May 3]st, 1970. <br />By-Laws submitted after that date may not be considered for <br />approval until March 1971, the end of the 1970-71 fiscal year. <br /> <br /> 'Phis approval is given subject to the approval of <br />each individual work of road and bridge construction, each <br />contract for construction or maintenance and the purchase of <br />each unit of equipment.
