-32— <br />BYLAW No. 97. <br />Whereas it is expedient to raise by way of loan the sum of Fifteen ThonsaM <br />Dollars required for We ordinary expenses of the County. <br />Be it resolved, therefore, and the Council of the County of Essex enact a <br />follows:— <br />lEt. That it shall and may be lawful for the Warden and Treasurer of the <br />County of Essex and they are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow from the <br />Merchants Bank of Canada, at the office of the said Bank. in the City of Windsor, <br />the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars for the purpose aforesaid. <br />2nd. That the said Warden and Treasurer are hereby authorized and empow- <br />ered on behalf of this Council and the County to sign and execute, under the Cor- <br />porate Beal of the County, and deliver to the Manager of the Merchants Bank of <br />Canada, at Windsor, the promissory notes of the said County of Essex,payable at the <br />office of the said Bank in Windsor as may be required, with interest thereon st the <br />rate of 6 per cent. per annum, and also to renew the same from time to time. <br />Done and passed in Council, at Sandwich, this 7th day of Jane, 1895. <br />(Signed] THOS. Warden. <br />BY -LAW No, 98. <br />A BY -LAW to appoint Arbitrators to Settle Certain Disputes' <br />Concerning the Boundaries of School Section No. z in <br />the Township of Anderdon. <br />Passed June 8th, 1896, <br />Whereas the Trustees of School Election No. 1 in the Township of Anderdes <br />have appealed to this Council against the action of the Municipal Council of the <br />'township of Anderdon in altering the ,boundaries of said School Section No. 1, by a <br />by-law of the said Township Council ; <br />And whereas it is expedient to appoint arbitrators to consider the matter of the <br />said disputes : <br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of Essex, that <br />C. R. Horne, County Judge, D. A. Maxwell, School Inspector. and John T.
