SL <br />county, to sell or offer for ale tea, dry-goods er jewellry, or owry and <br />impose samples or patterns of any of such goods to be afterwards deliver- <br />,ad within the county, to any person not being a wholesale or rehil <br />dealer in such goods, wares or merchandise, without previously having <br />obtained a license therefor. <br />I` 3. No person shall be or act as a pedlar, or go from place to place, <br />or to other men's houses, on foot or with an animal bearing or drawing <br />any goods, wares or merchandise not the growth, produce or maaufwtm <br />of this province, for sale, or in or with an. boat, vessel or other crab, or <br />otherwise carrying goods, wares or merchandise not the growth, produce <br />or manufacture of this province for sale, who has not obtained a license <br />therefor. <br />3. No person shall be or act as a pedlar for sale of any such goods, <br />wares or merchandise, or of liquors within the meaning of the law rs <br />lating to Taverns or Tavern Licenses without a License having been ob. <br />tamed therefor, unless the same are being hawked or peddled Sy the <br />manufacturer or producer of such goods, wares or merchandise, or by kb <br />bona fide servants or employees having written authority in that bebalf, <br />and any such servant or employee shall produce and exhibit his written <br />authority when required 'so to do by any municipal or peace officer. <br />4. The sum to be paid for suck licensee shall be : For hawking <br />or peddling with a vehicle drawn by. two or more horses, or other ani. <br />mals,$5o ; with a vehicle drawn by one horse or other animal, $4o; <br />without vehicle, $35. Such licenses to be valid for one year from the <br />date thereof. <br />6. The measures used by such hawkers or peddlars shall have dis- <br />tinctly stamped thereon the capacity et such measures as required by <br />btstute in that behalf. <br />6. The Clerk of the county shall cause licenses to be printed sad <br />transmitted to the Clerks of each municipality within the county for <br />sale to parties applying for the same upon the eertificate of the County <br />Treasurer that the requisite amount of money has been paid, and the <br />Clerks of the said municipalities shall be entitled, to a fee of one dollar <br />for issuing each license. <br />y. The add license money shall form part of the county fund. <br />S. Infringements of any provision of this By -Law shall be pus. <br />
