36 BY -LAW No. 89. A Ill'•1.AW TO EQUALIZE THE AS SE*kSHENTS, TO LEVY I;UUNTY RATE AND TO PHOVIUE FOR TEAT HER'8 AND KHOUL INSPECTORS SALARIES Passed June 9th, 1844. Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex has OX3111ined the Assessment Rolls of the different Township, Towns and Vil• 1 ;,ges in the County for the year 1393, for the purpose of ascertaining Whedi( r the valuations made by the several assessnrs bear a just relation one to another amt has for the purpose of County rates equalized and settled tilt- a ... regrale valuations of real and personal property in the said Township, T"VI'lis and Villa-FPS. Be it th-- refore enacted by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex that the valuations *et forth in the schedule hereto, under the heal- ill,,, "Equalization 1894" shall be and the same are hereby fixed as the eqw• I zed valuations of real and personal property for the different Townships, Towns and Villages in the County of Essex for the year 1894. Be it further enacted by the said Municipal Council that there shall be raised, levied and collected a rate of J J mills on the dollar upon all rateable llropf -rty in the said County of Essex for the purpose of raising the sum of $19,835.00 being the amount estimated to cover general expenses for the current year. Be it therefore enacted that the Sheriff of the said County shall be en. titled to receive the following sums for the following services, namely : —fa every pay list. of Jurors the sun of one dollar • for checking the same the ruin of seventy -five cent*, and fir certifying the return of same to the Tre;,siirer of the County the sum of one dollar, the sail sums to be paid by the Treasurer of the County. Be it further enacted, pursuant to the Public Schools Act 1891, that there• shall be raised levied and collected upon the whole ratable property :11 the several Municipalities in the County of Es :ex, except the Townof aluhPrstburg, in a4idition to all other rates and aaaessments, the sum of *38Ul.(X) for the payment of qualified Public School Teachers within the "nunt.v, nild the further Nuln of $1500.00 for the payment of Public School h- qIle: +tore, which said sums shall be levied and borne by the Municipalities in Ilie County of Essex in proportions shown by the schedule hereto, the said • inns fair School Teachers and School hlspeetors to be collected and paid in to the hands of the County Treasurer on or before the 14th day ofDecemb+r Next.
