<br />A Bylaw to appoint two Auditors for the County of Esser, for the year 085.
<br />Passed January 30th, 18M.
<br />Whereas by section 260, of the Consolidated Bdanicipal Act, 1883. Every eouneii
<br />ab� at the first meeting thereof, in every year after having duly organirnd, appoint
<br />t""ditors, one of whom Shall be such as the head of the council nominates.
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of Eaesx that
<br />E4*ard Uworth be, and he is hereby appointed County Auditor for the present year.
<br />And be it further enacted that on the nomination of the Warden, Eli Gignae be
<br />ewe is hereby appointed County Auditor for the present year.
<br />And be it further enacted that the said Edward Allworth and Eli Gignao shall
<br />be entitled to receive as a salary, the sum of seventy -five dollar per mama
<br />li'Ablesemi- annually by the warrant of the Warden who is hereby authorised to
<br />4P the same, provided the work required to be done in the last clause of this By-
<br />6W, has been performed.
<br />The duties of the said auditors shall be to examine and report upon all a000auts
<br />effe0t'4 the corporation of the County of Essex or relating to any matter under its
<br />control or within its jurisdiction for the year ending on the 31st day of Deoember,18H.
<br />And be it further enacted that the said auditors shall also prepare an abstract at
<br />the receipts, expenditures, assets and liabilities of the said oorporaticw, and also a
<br />detailed statement of the said particulars under the different heads asi they appear
<br />m the books of the County Treasurer, and report in duplicate on all accounts audited
<br />by them, and make a report of any expenditure made contrary to law, and shall fyle
<br />the same in the office of the Clerk of the said County within one month after their
<br />appointment.
<br />This By -law shall take effect immediately from and after the passing thereof.

<br />A Bylaw to raise certain monies for the improvement of certain roads and bridges
<br />in the County of Essex.
<br />Passed January 81st, 1886.
<br />Whereas it is expedient to raise monies for the improvement of certain wads and
<br />bodge in the County of Essex.
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the Council of the corporation of the County of Eau,
<br />sad it is hereby enacted that their shall be rt<ised, levied and collected a rate of one
<br />twill in the dollar, amounting to the sum of 118,885, upon the whole rateable property
<br />ill the County of Essex in the equalization of last year, to addition to all other rates
<br />W atsseesments imposed for the improvement of certain roads and bridges in the
<br />(;Mlty of Esaiex.
<br />Be it further enacted that the said ell in of 68,395, shall be expended as set forth
<br />in the schedule, hereinunder written, which schedule shall form part of this ply -law.
