Every council <br />shall, at the first meeting thereof, in every year after having duly organized, appoint <br />two auditors, one of whom shall be such as the head of the council nominates. <br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of Essex that <br />Edward Allworth be, and he is hereby appointed County Auditor for the present year. <br />And be it further enacted that on the nomination of the Warden, Eli Oignae be <br />And he is hereby appointed County Auditor for the present year. <br />And be it farther enacted that the said Edward Allworth and Eli Gignac shall <br />saoh be entitled to receive as a salary, the sum of seventy -five dollars per annum <br />payablesemi- annually by the warrant of the Warden who is hereby authorised to <br />ugu the same, provided the work required to be done in the last clause of this By. <br />law, has been performed. <br />The duties of the said auditors shall be to examine and report upon all accounts <br />effecting the corporation of the County of Essex or relating to any matter under its <br />control or within its jurisdiction for the year ending on the 31st day of December,1884. <br />And be it further enacted that the said auditors shall also prepare an abstract of <br />the receipts, expenditures, assets and liabilities of the said corporation, and ahso a <br />detailed statement of the said particulars under the different heads as they appear <br />in the books of the County Treasurer, and report in duplicate on all accounts audited <br />by them, and make a report of any expenditure made contrary to law, and shall fyle <br />the same in the office of the Clerk of the said County within one month sifter their <br />Appointment. <br />This By -law shall take effect immediately from and after the passing thereof. <br />*fined) THOS.
