<br />R axsnra, By the "Consolidated Municipal Aet, 1885," the county council of eaeb county is re,
<br />quired to appetnt annually two persona, one of whom shall belong to such Pannell, to be meatirem
<br />of the Board of Audit, for auditing and approving accounts and demands preferred against th4.
<br />county.
<br />Belt therefore enacted by the municipal council of the corporation of the conati of Etee= to
<br />council assembled, &bat Thomas Plant, one of the members of the said council, and ?6oatas sieges
<br />be, and they are bereby appointed, members of the said Board of Audit.
<br />And be it turther enacted, that the members of the said Board of Audit shall be paid the eom of
<br />four dollars each per day for their attendance at such audit, and the further sum five Bents per
<br />mile for each mile necessarily traveled by them in respect thereof In goin6 to and from such audit,
<br />and the Warden is hereby authorised to sign warrants liar the payment of the same.

<br />Be it therefore enacted b, the municipal corporation of the county of Essex In council amevabled
<br />that Eli (iiguse be, and he is hereby appointed county auditor for the present year. And tw it
<br />further enacted, that on the nomination of the Warden, Edward Allworth be and he is hereby
<br />sppoiuWd county auditor for the present. year.
<br />And be it further enacted, that the said Eli Gignse and Edward Allworth shall each be eautled
<br />to receive as a salary the sum of seventy -five dollars per annum, payable semi-annually by the
<br />warrants of the Warden, who is hereby authorised to sign the ono provided the work required
<br />to be done in the last clause of this by -law has been performed.
<br />That the duties of the said auditors shall be to examine and report upon all secoants aRletiag
<br />the corporation of the county. of Essex, or relating to any matter under its control or within its
<br />)uriodictlon, for the year ending on the Slat day of December, 1885. And be it further enacted
