<br />A By -law to provide for the current exp.nses of the County of Essex for the you
<br />1883. Passed June 16th 1
<br />WHEREAS, -it is necessary to provide the sitm of $14,490 to defray the expenses Oj
<br />the County of Essex in accordance with the estimate of the Finance Committee:
<br />AND WHEREAS, for the purpose of raising the said sum of $14,490 it will rtgpir •
<br />rate of 2 1-4 mills on the dollar upon all rateable property in the said Ccar Ity of
<br />Essex:
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the Corporation of the County of Essex in Conncil
<br />sembled and it is hereby enacted that there shall be raised, levied and collecte,l a
<br />rate of 2 1-4 mills on the dollar upon all rateable property in the wtid Count
<br />Essex for the purpose of raising the said sam of $14.490 a eral expenses enses of the c rite.4
<br />and assessments for and during the present year for the g p urrelit
<br />year.
<br />Be It further enacted that the sum of one dollar and fifty cents be paid to each and
<br />every Grand and Petit Juror for each day's attendance at Any Court of Assize, Nit
<br />Arius, and General Sessionn of the Peace and County Court, and the further gum of
<br />ten cents per mile nece,isarily travelled by such per -i h from his Argue k reaideace
<br />to the Court House of the said Coauty according to rho pay list to be kept by the
<br />Sheriff of the said County, shall be entitle
<br />And be it also enacted that the Sheriff of the Kai i County 3 b �,
<br />oeive the following sums and no more for the services perforsued by bins under

<br />name of each municipality in the schedule hereunder written, which schedule shall
<br />form part of this By -law, shall be raised, levied and collected therein upon the Whole
<br />rateable property in each rea;pectively for the ttetreraCl rates for which they are dr-
