<br />it seeoion of this council to be held in June next;
<br />And be it further enacted, that the treasurer of th%coanty be and he is hereby
<br />06oriaed to pat the orders of the commissioners for the amounts due each
<br />aanicipality.

<br />Teproeide for the appointment of two Auditors to act with the Chairman of the t;eaeml Ses,
<br />siom of the Peace as a Board of Audit. Passed January 26, 1882.
<br />Whereas, by the Municipal Act of Ontario, the county council of each county
<br />is required to appoint annually two persons, one of whom may be a member of
<br />the said council, to assist the Chairman of the General Session of the Peace in
<br />auditing the accounts of the said Sessions, or of Oyer and Terminer and Gen-
<br />al Gaol Delivery:
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the municipal council of the corporation of the
<br />county of Essex, in council assembled, that William D. Balfour, one of the mem-
<br />bas of this council, and Thomas McKee, be and they are hereby appointed to
<br />the said Board of Audit, and that the said parties shall be paid four dollars per
<br />day for each day's attendance at such audit, and the further sum of five cents
<br />per mile necessarily travelled by the members of such Board of Audit to and
<br />fin the place of meeting of the said board; and the warden is hereby author-
<br />ised t4 sign warrants for the same

<br />A 4-Law to appoint Auditors for the County of Ewe-<. Passed January 27, xM -
<br />Whereas, the municipal council of the corporation of the county of Essex, in
<br />tmmcil assembled, did by vote appoint Edward - Allworth as auditor, and the
<br />warden, by exercise of his privilege, has appointed John Kirkland auditor, to
<br />ad with the said Edward Allworth as auditors for the said county:
<br />lie. it therefore enacted by the municipal corporation of the county of Essex,
<br />in council assembled, that the said Edward Allworth and John Kirkland be,
<br />and they are hereby appointed to all itrtents and purposes audittxx for the
<br />county of Essex for the current year.
<br />And be it further enacted that the mid Edward Allworth and John Kirkland
<br />shall each be entitled to receive as a Palary the sum of seventy -fire dollars per
<br />aonurn.
<br />And be it further enacted that the salaries of the said anditon be paid by
<br />warrants upon the county treasurer of the maid county of Essex semi- annually,
<br />sad the warden is hereby authorized to sign the said warrants for the paytueut
<br />of the said salaries as the same become due, provided the work is dunc as pro.

<br />Thtt the duties of the said auditors shall be to examine and ,report upon all
<br />Vx*uutm affecting the corporation of the county of Essex or mlatiug to any
<br />natter under its control or within its jurisdiction, for the year anding on the

<br />That the raid auditors shall also prepare an abstract of the receipts, expendi-
