DT-TAWS OF THR COTINTT OF ROHM. as <br />Be it therefore enacted by the Council of the Corporation of the <br />County of Essex, under and by virtue of chapter 204 of the Revised <br />Statutes of Ontario, that the sum of $100 be paid towards the Insti <br />tutes of Teachers in the North and South Ridings of the County of <br />Essex, for the current year, in manner following, that is to may: $50 <br />to the North Riding, and the same sum to the South Riding. <br />And be it fiu -they enacted that the said Bum be paid to the In- I <br />spectors of Schools for the said Ridings, and the Warden is hereby <br />authorized to sign warrat;ts upon the Treasurer of the said County <br />for the payment of the same. <br />Passed June 16th, 1881. <br />(Signed), THOS. Warden. <br />1 <br />B Y -L ] W NO, 290 <br />I By -law to erect Stoney Point in the Township of Tilbury West into a Police Vil- <br />lage. <br />WHEREAS, A. Lemire, Stephen Aubrey, Emille Chauvin, <br />Henry Desjardins, O. Paquette, and other inhabitants of Stoney Point, <br />an unincorporated village in the township of Tilbury West, have, by <br />their petition, prayed that the said unincorporated village of Stoney <br />Point be erected into a Police Village, and it is advisable to grant <br />the prayer of the said petition. <br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corpo. <br />ration of the County of Essex, in council assembled, under and by <br />virtue of the Municipal Act of Ontario, and it is hereby enacted that <br />the unincorporated village of Stoney Point, in the township of Til- <br />bury West, in the County of Essex, be and the same is hereby erect- <br />ed and established into a Police Village. <br />And it is further enacted that the limits of the said Police Village <br />of Stoney Point sliall be as follows: Commencing at a post planted <br />at the water's edge of Lake St. Clair at the line between the east and <br />west halves of lot No. 9, in the broken front concession of township <br />of Tilbury West: thence south a distance of 89 chains and 80 links; <br />thence youth 88 ° 86 m a distance of 91 chains, to the line between <br />the E & W halves of lot No. 6, in the first concession of said town- <br />ship of Tilbury West; thence north a distance of 48 chains: thence <br />east a distance of 15 chains and 15 links; thence southeasterly fol- <br />lowing the north side of the Tecumseh Road a distance of 84 chains <br />and fifty links to the line between lots Nos. 7 and 8 ; thence north a <br />distance of 82 chains and 25 links to the water's edge of Lake St. <br />Clair; thence south - easterly following the water's edge of said lake a <br />A r■ ,s <br />
