<br />BY -LAW No. 963:
<br />A ByLw to confrm the appointment of a third person to act with the County Judge and the 9h.+R d
<br />the Coenty of Twea on appeals respecting the Equalisation of Assessments. Passed June -,off, 140
<br />Whereas, by an act passed in the 42d year of Her Ma'esty's reign, intituH
<br />the tt Municipal Amendment Act of 1879," and chapterev 31, it is enacted that
<br />appeals in respect to the equalization of assessments, shall, after the passage d
<br />the said act, be to the County Judge jointly with the Sheriff and such third
<br />person as the County Council may appoint ;
<br />And whereas, it is further provided by the said act that the appointment of
<br />such third person shall be made at the first meeting of the Council in the year;
<br />And whereas, the Council of the county of Essex has appointed William Mc-
<br />Gregor to act with the said Judge and Sheriff on the said appeals, and it it ne-
<br />cessary to confirm the said appointment
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the corporation of the
<br />county of Essex, in Council assembled, that William McGregor, of the toms of
<br />Windsor, in the said county, gentleman, be and he is hereby appointed to act
<br />with the County Judge and the Sheriff of the said county on appeals in respect
<br />to the equalization of assessments.

<br />A ByIaw to provide and levy the sum of one hundred dollars towards the County Model School, is'
<br />County of Essex. Passed June sad, i880.
<br />Whereas, it is necessary and expedient to provide and levy the sum of of
<br />hundred dollars towards the county Model School, in the county of Essex:
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the Council of the corporation of the county
<br />Essex, in Council assembled, under and by virtue of chapter 204 of the Revis
<br />Statutes of Ontario, that the sum of one hundred dollars be paid towards
<br />county Model School, in the county of Essex, for the current year;
<br />And be it further enacted that the said sum be paid to the Secretary of '
<br />School Board, within whose jurisdiction such Model School is situated,
<br />that the Warden is hereby authoried to sign warrants upon the Treasuret
<br />the said county for the payment of the same.

<br />A By Law, to de and levy the sum of one hundred dollars towards Institutes of Teadws 123
<br />North and South Ridings of the County of Essex. Passed June sad, n880.
<br />Whereas, it is necessary and expedient to provide and levy the sum of oo
<br />hundred dollars towards the Institutes of Teachers in the North and Sous
<br />Ridings of the county of Essex;
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the Council of the corporation of the county a
<br />Essex, under and by virtue of chapter zoo of the Revised Statutes of llcuro
<br />that the sum of one hundred dollars be paid towards the Institues of Teacher
<br />in the North and South Ridings of the county of Essex for the current year, it
<br />manner following, that is to say: Fifty dollars to the North Riding and IN
<br />same sum to the South Riding ;
<br />And be it further enacted that the said sum be paid to the Inspector d
<br />Schools for the said Ridings, and the Warden is hereby authorized to sign war-
<br />rants upon the Treasurer of the said county for the payment of the same.
