sY -LAws or Otis COVMT! 01 SUM. li <br />pa` quarterly the salary of one or micro persons holding the nee@* <br />eery certifioates of qualification, to be Lspector w Inspectors of Pabdic <br />Schools in the county, who shall each have chwrge of mot more than <br />one hundred and twenty, nor less than fifty, schools. <br />And whereas it is also provided that in counties where there are <br />more than fifty Public Schools, the County Council may appoint two <br />or more persons (according to the number of schools) holding such <br />certificates, to be Inspectors, and prescribe and number the territor. <br />ial limits of each. <br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the County <br />of Essex: <br />I. That the said County of Essex be divided into two circuits, to <br />be membered "One" and "Two ;" the territorial limits of number <br />,,One to be composed of the Townships of Tilbury West, Rochester, <br />Maidstone, Sandwich East and Sandwich West, and of the Village <br />of Belle River, all in the North Riding of Essex; the territorial lim. <br />its of number "Two" to be composed of the Townships of Mersea, <br />Gosfield, Colchester South, Colchester North, Malden, Anderdon and <br />Pelee, and of the Villages of Leamington and Kingsville, all in the <br />South Riding of Essex. <br />II. That one inspector be appointed for each of the two circuits, <br />to have the supervision of all Public Schools in the Townships and <br />Villages within the same, as provided by the Public Schools Acts of <br />the Province of Ontario. Provided always that the County Council <br />may, from time to time, change or remove the Inspectors from one <br />eirouit or riding of the County to the other ; and provided also, that <br />they ehall be subject to dismissal by a majority of the members of <br />the County Council in case of misconduct or inefficiency, or by a <br />vote of two - thirds of eneh members without such cause, amd the <br />vacancy thug caused shall be filled from the list of those legallv <br />qualified. <br />III. That the gain of one thousand dollars per annum shall bs <br />paid to each School Inspector, less the grants accorded by the Gov- <br />ernment of the Province of Ontario for the payment of Public School <br />Inspectors; the said gain to cover all traveling slid other expenses of <br />the said Inspectors, and to be paid quarterly in the usual way. <br />1V. That in the event of either of the School Inspectors being <br />appuiuted by the Public School Board or Boards of any town or <br />towus in the County to be Inspector of the Schools within said town <br />or towus, the atiiount of salary aid by the County shall ue reduced <br />by the swount received by ouch Inspector from the ►iohuul I06rd or <br />Boards of said town or towns. <br />V.
