25 <br />BY -LAW NO. 1157. <br />'To amend By -Law 154 establishing a lock -up Goose in the Village Of Wheatley. <br />Paced January 81st, 1890. <br />Whereas by By Law No. 154 a look -up house was established in the Village cf <br />Wheatley, and an appropriation of 8150 made by this Council for that purpose. <br />And whereas the Municipal Council of the County of Rent has dace made an <br />appropriation of a similar amount for the said Look -up Ho provided the same shall <br />be used jointly by both the Counties of Essex and Rent. <br />And whereas it is desirable that the same should be a Unforf Lock -up House for <br />both Counties, and that the said By -Law No. 154 be amended accordingly. <br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of Essex, thM <br />By -Law 154 be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the fgllowing <br />clause which shall be read as clause "three of the said BypLaw. <br />And be it further enacted that the satd.Loek -up House shall be a Union Lock-UP <br />House for the joint use of the Manicipalities of the Counties of Essex and Vent. <br />[Signed] THOS. Warden. <br />BY -LAW NO. 158. <br />'A•ByLaw to erect Comber, in the Township of Tilbury West, into a Police Village <br />Passed January $1st, 1890. <br />Whereas R. H. Abbott, J.A. Buchanan, Robert Anderson, C. W. Scherer, William <br />Preudergaat and other inhabitants of Comber, an unincorporated village in the Town- <br />ship of Tilbury West, have, by their petition, prayed that the said unincorporated <br />Village of Comber, be erected into a Police Village, and it is advisable to ;rant the <br />prayer of the said petition. <br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County <br />of Eases, in Council assembled, ender and by virtue of the Municipal Act of Outaria, <br />and it ia- hereby enacted that the unincorporated Village of Comber, in the Township <br />of Tilbury West, in the County of Essex, be and the same is hereby erected and <br />established into a Poli3e Village. <br />And it is further enacted that the limits of the said Police Village of Comber shall <br />l;e as follows :-- - <br />Commencing at the north -east angle of Lot No. 7, north of the Middle Road in <br />the Township of Tilbury West, in the County of Essex. Thence south- westarly along <br />the southerly side of the road,in rear of the lots north of the Middle Road,etivbuty -one <br />chains more or less, to the present line between lots numbers five and six. Theuoe <br />south, along said line of lots in the north half of the lots north of the Middle Road <br />uud the west side of the Leamington and St. Clair Railway lands (on the east side of <br />lot five in the balance of the Middle .[road lute), eighty-eight chains. Thence uortli- <br />easterly, parallel to the Middle Road, seventy -one cbains inure or less to the lies <br />between lots numbers seven and eight. Thence north slang this last mentioned lime <br />of dote, eighty-eight chains, to the platy of beginiiink, containing by aJme:�surement, <br />five bundred acres of land exclusive of streets and alleys. <br />And be it further enacted tbat the firet elestiod of Police Jastioes, for the said <br />police Village of Comber,shall be hold at the Town Hall in the said Police Viilage,snd <br />that William Mann, of the said Police Village of Comber, shall be t]te Returning <br />,Officer thereof. <br />,Signed] TUGS.
