Warden of Essex. <br />BY -LAW NO. iod;F <br />A By -Law to appoint a Game Inspector for the County of Essex. <br />Passed September 213t, x886. <br />Whereas, under Chapter 45 of the Statutes of Ontario, passed in the 49th <br />yearrf Her Majesty's Reign, it is made lawful for the Council of any County <br />to appoint an officer who shall? be known as the Game Inspector for such <br />County. <br />And whereas it is desirable to appoint such a game inspector for the Com <br />ty of Essex. <br />Be it therefore enacted, by the Council of the County of Essex, that <br />Charles F. Corneve, of the village of Belle River, in the said County of Essex, <br />be and he is hereby appointed game inspector for the County of Essex. <br />It shall be the duty of the said game inspector forthwith to seize all ani- <br />mals or portions of animals in the possession of any person contrary to the <br />provisions of the Act above mentioned, and 'to bring the person to possession <br />of the same before a Justice of the Peace to answer for such illegal possession. <br />It shall also be the duty of the said game inspector to institute prosecutions <br />against all persons found infringing the provisions of the said Act, or any of <br />them, and the said inspector may cause to be opened, or may himself open in <br />case of refusal, any bag, parcel, chest, box, trunk or receptacle in which be bag <br />reason to believe that game killed or taken during the close season, or peltries <br />out of season, are hidden and otherwise to do and performall such other duties <br />as are required to be done and performed by- such game inspector appointed <br />under the authority of the said Act. <br />And be it further enacted that the said Charles F. Cornette shall receive <br />the sum of twenty -five dollars annually for his services as such game inspector, <br />payable quarterly by warrants on the County Treasurer, and the Warden is <br />hereby empowered and authorized to sign the same. <br />[Signed] THOS. Warden, <br />BY -LAW NO. iox/ <br />To assume the Side Line between Lots- Nos. 12 and 13 in the Township of <br />Tilbury West. <br />Passed September 2tst, 1886. <br />Whereas the Township of Tilbury West, a municipality within the Coun• <br />ty of Essex, has given its assent that the road, hereinafter described, be assum. <br />ed by the Council of the said County as a County Road. <br />Be it therefore enacted by Ithe Curporatioo of they County of Essex in <br />Council assembled, and it is hereby enacted, that the side road beteeen lots <br />numbers twelve and thirteen and running from the town line between the Town. <br />ships of Mersea and Tilbury West to Lake St. Clair, be, and the same is hereby <br />assumed as a county road for the purpose of enabling the county appropria- <br />tions to be expended thereon and for that purpose only. <br />[Signed] THOS.
