CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY-LAW NUMBER 1672 A By-law to amend By-law Number 1498 of the County of Essex to Provide Rules Governing the Order and Proceedings of the Council of the County of Essex, the Conduct of its Members, and Calling of Meetings. WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and expedient that the By-law #1498 of the Corporation of the County of Essex, passed on the 22nd day of January~ 196~, for the purpose noted above, should be amended to provide for the holding of the inaugural meeting of the new Council in each and every year; AND WHEREAS by Subsection 2 of Section 184 of The Municipal Act, Chapter 2&9~ R. S. O. 1960, and amendments thereto~ the Council may fix on such day prior to the third Tuesday, in January and at such hour as may be determined, the first meeting of the Council, by By-law; THEREFORE be it enacted and it is hereby enacted by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex as follows: (1) That Clause 1 of By-law #1498 of the Corpora- tion of the County of Essex passed on the 22nd day of January, 1964, be amended by striking out the figure and word "3rd Tuesday" after the word "the" in the second line of the said clause, and inserting therefore, the figure and word "2nd TuesdayV, so that the said Clause i shall read as follows:- (1) That inaugural meeting of the new Council in each year shall be held on the 2nd Tuesday of January at the hour of 7:00 p.m. oVclocko This By-law shall come into force and take effect as of the 1st day of January, 1967.
