NUMBER 16~3 A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX TO ESTABLISH THE TOWNSHIP PUBLIC SCHOOL AREAS OF THE CORPORATIONS OF THE TOWNSHIPS OF TILBURY WEST AND TILBURY NORTH AS A TO~NSHIP SCHOOL AREA TO BE KNOWN AS TOWNSHIP SCHOOL AREA TILBURY WEST AND TILBURY NORTH. WHEREAS, Section ~O, Subsections 5 and 6 of the Public Schools Act~ Chapter 330, R. S. O. 1960 and amend- ments thereto provides that:-- Where the average daily attendance of pupils of the public schools under the jurisdiction of a board is less than 100 in any year the inspector shall notify the Clerk of the County and the Secretary of the Board affected, and the Council of the County shall, by by-law, passed before the 1st day of July, following notice from the inspector, attach the school section in which the board has jurisdiction to an adjoining school section; And where the Council of a county enlarges a township school area to include all of two or more townships, notwithstanding subsection 4 of Section 40C the by-law may designate the name of the board of the township school area; And whereas the inspector has notified the Clerk of the County of Essex in accordance with Section ~0, Subsection 5, that the average daily attendance of pupils in the public schools under the jurisdiction of the Township' of Tilbury North School Area is less than 100; And whereas the Essex County Consultative Committee recommends to the Essex County Council that an amalgamation be affected of the areas now served by the Tilbury North and Tilbury West Township School Areas, and that these com- bined areas henceforth be under the Jurisdiction of a County School Board; And whereas the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex deems it advisable to form such a school area, subject to the approval of the Minister of Education; Therefore be it enacted and it is hereby enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex as follows: (1) That the following areas be used and the same are hereby designated and established as a Township School Area in the County of Essex; (a) Tilbury North Township School Area, and (b) Tilbury West Township School Area (2) That the said Township School Area as aforesaid, be and the same is hereby designated and established as a Township School Area known as Tilbury West and Tilbury North. (3) That all other by-laws inconsistent to this by-laware hereby repealed.
