BY-LAI~? ~UMBER 1627 A BY-LAI~f OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX TO LEVY THE COUNTY OF ESSEX RATES TO FROVIDE FOE. THE MONIES PAYABLE UNDER THE HIUH~.fAY IMPROVE~EY~T ACT AND FOR THE GENERAL EXP- ENDITURES AND FOR THE COU~TY LIBRARY EXPE~DITURES OF THE COoNTY OF ESSEX FOR THE YEAR 1966. WHEREAS it has been deemed expedient by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex that there shall be raised, levied, and collected in the different towns, villages, and townships in the County of Essex the several amounts set opposite their respective names in the schedule hereto attached and which forms part of this by-law. ~E IT THEREFORE ENACTED by The ~iunicipal Council of The Corporation of the County of Essex and it is hereby enacted as fOllows: 1. That there shall be raised, levied and collected at the rate of $.8 mills on the dollar, upon the whole rate- able property in the County of Essex for the purpose of rais- ing the sum of eight hundred and sixty-three !~housand seven hundred and forty-six dollars and twenty-three cents [$863,7~6.23) being the amount estimated to cover the General Expenses for the current year of 1966, the annual amount to be raised under this by-law. 2. And it is further enacted by virtue of The High- way Improvement Act, and amendments thereto, there shall be raised, levied, and collected upon the whole rateable property in the County of Essex, at the rate of 6.5 mills on the dollar, for the purpose of raising the sum of six hundred and thirty- seven thousand, nine hundred and ninety-four dollars and thirty-eight cents ($637,99~.38) the amount required for the County Road System for the County of Essex for the year 1966. 3. And it is further enacted by virtue of the Public Library Act, and amendments thereto, 'there shall be raised, levied and collected upon the whole of the rateable property in the County of Essex, save and except that rate- able property in the Town of Leamington and Kingsville and the village of Belle River, at the rate of one mill on the dollar, for the purpose of raising the sum of eighty thousand seven hundred and eighteen dollars and forty-five cents ($80,718.45) the amount required for the County Library System for the County of Essex for the year 1966. &. And it is further enacted that the several assessments above shall be apportioned against and borne by the different municipalities in the proportion hereinafter mentioned and that the several rates for which they are designated and shall be paid into the hands of the Treasurer within the time provided by By-law to be applied for the several purposes mentioned in this By-law. 5. This By-law shall come into force and take effect upon the final passing thereof.
