THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY-LAW NUMBER 1548 A By-law to approve and authorize the execution of an agreement between ~he Corporation of the County of Essex and ~he Corporation of the ~own of Leamington. WHERFAS ~he Highway Improvement Act, R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 171~ Section 60, authorizes the Corporation of the County of Essex to enter into an agreement with its constituent urban municipalities which have c.mauty road extensions or connecting links in the County R~0ad System but not forming part thereof within their borders for the maintenance of such roads as the public interest demands; AND WHEREAS the said agreements are intended to provide an equitable distribution of the county road funds between the urban and rural municipalities which make up the County Organization of the County of Essex; AND WHEREAS the agreement attached hereto and marked Schedule "A" to this by-law is approved and authorized for the said purpose. NOW THEREFORE BE IT k~ACTED and it is hereby enacted by the Council of the County of Essex as follows:- 1. bt the agreement between The Oorporation of the County of Essex and The Corporation of the T~wn of Leamington dated the 8th day of December, attached hereto and m~rked Schedule "A", be and the same is hereby approved. 2. That the Warden and Clerk of the Corporation of the County of Essex be and they ~re hereby authorized and empowered to execute the said agreement under the seal of the Corporation. 3. That this by-law shall come into force and take effect immediately upon the final passing thereof or upon the final passing of a by-law to authorize and approve of the said agreement by the Corporation of the T~wn of Leamington whichever shall be the later.
