NOVEMBER SPECIAL SESSION, 19% 692 By -Law Number 1853 RESTRICTING THE W19IGHT OF VEHICLES PASSINQ OVER, A BRIDGE. VMREAS subsection S of section 52 of The Highway Traffie Act (R. S. O. 1960, Chapter 172) provides that: — The municipal corporation or other authority having Jurisdiction over a bridge may by by -law approved by the Department make reM MOM limiting the weight of any vehicle or combination of vehicles a any class thereof passing over such bridge; AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to limit the weight of vehicles passing over a bridge in the Municipality of the Township ot Tilbury North NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation ot the liluni- eiPality of the County of Essex enacts as follows: - 1. No vehicle or combination of vehicles or any class thereof, Whether empty or loaded, shall be operated over the bridge luw se Big Creek Bridge at Lot 16, Concession 4 on Road between Concession 4 and 5 in the Municipality of the Township of Tilbury North with a Weight in excess of 28,000 pounds. 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this by law shall be subject to the penalties provided in subsection 7 ot section 52 of The Highway Traffic Act. 3. This by -law shall not become effective Until approved by the Department of Transport and until a notice of the limit of the weight permitted, legibly printed, has been posted up in a crospicumm puss at each end of the bridge.
