SEPTEMBER SPECIAL SESSION, 1969 545 By -Laws By -Law Number 1839 A BY -LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUN" OF ESSEX TO AMEND BY -LAW NUMBER 1799 PASSED ON THE 16th DAY OF JANUARY, 1969, AMENDING BYLAW NUMBER 1770 PASSED ON THE 4th DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1968, FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A COUNTY ENGINEER AND ROAD SUPERINTENDENT FOR THE COUNTY OF ESSEX AND SETTING THE SALARY AND ALLOWANCES FOR THE RAID POSI- TIONS. WHEREAS it is deemed to be more satisfactory to all parties concerned that Clause 2 of By -law Number 1799 passed on the 15th day of January, 1969, be amended. BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED and it is hereby enacted by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex; 1. That Clause 2 of By -law Number 1799 be amended by strik- ing out the words and figures "Eighteen Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty -eight Dollars" ($18,828.00) in the second and third lines thereof. between the word "of" and the word "per" and substituting therefor the words and figures "Nineteen Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty - four Dollars" ($19,424.00); and striking out the words and figures in the fourth line thereof "January 1, 1969"; and substituting therefor the words and figures, "July 1, 1969", after the word "of"; eo that CbAW 2 of By -law Number 1770 will read as follows, as amended; 2. That the said County Engineer and Road Superintendent shall be paid at the rate of Nineteen Thousand Four Hundred and TaentY- tour Dollars ($19,424.00) per annum for such time as he BW be ao "PloYed, payable bi- weekly as of July 1, 19% 3.
