AUGUST SPECIAL SESSION, 1967 629 <br />THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br />By -Law Number 1719 <br />A BY -LAW TO CONFIRM PROCEEDINGS OF TRZ <br />COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX AT ALL ITS <br />MEETINGS HELD DURING THE AUGUST, 1861 SESSION. <br />WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter <br />249 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the powers d a municips) <br />corporation are to be exercised by its council; <br />AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 242 of the Municipal <br />Act, being Chapter 249 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the <br />powers of every Council are to be exercised by By -law; <br />AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings <br />of the council of the Corporation of the County of Essex at theme meet- <br />ings be confirmed and adopted by By -law; <br />NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the <br />County of Essex enacts as follows: <br />1. That action of the Council of the Corporation of the County of <br />Essex in respect of each recommendation contained in the Reports of <br />the Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other aetian <br />taken by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Emeex at <br />these meetings is hereby adopted and confirmed as if all such p mcee& <br />lnp were expressly embodied in this By -law. <br />2. The Warden and proper officials of the Corporation of the <br />County of Essex are hereby authorized and directed to do all things <br />neaessary to give effect to the action of the Council of the CorSmsti= <br />of the County of Essex referred to in preceding section hereof. <br />$.
