FEBRUARY SPECIAL SESSION 143 <br />By -Law Number 1479 <br />A BY -LAW AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF <br />BLOCK "A" ACCORDING TO REGISTERED PLAN <br />NUMBER 1556 IN THE TOWNSHIP OF MAIDSTONE <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROTECTING A STREET <br />INTERSECTION. <br />WHEREAS Tecumseh Road (formerly King's Highway #39) <br />from the Town of Tecumseh to the Village of Puce has reverted to the <br />Corporation of the County of Essex pursuant to the provisions of The <br />Highway Improvement Act is now being maintained as a County road; <br />AND WHEREAS Her Majesty the Queen in the right of the <br />Province of Ontario as represented by the Honourable the Minister of <br />Highways is the owner of a one foot reserve known and described as <br />Block "A" according to Registered Plan Number 1556, which said land <br />abuts on the south side of Tecumseh Road just east of Patillo Road in <br />the Township of Maidstone; <br />AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to acquire the said <br />Block "A" according to Registered Plan Number 1556 for the purpose <br />of restricting access to the intersection of Tecumseh Road and Patillo <br />Road. <br />NOW THEREFORE THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF <br />ESSEX ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: - <br />1. That the Corporation of the County of Essex shall acquire by con- <br />veyance from Her Majesty the Queen in the right of the Province of <br />Ontario as represented by the Honourable the Minister of Highways <br />Block "A" according to Registered Plan Number 1556 in the Township <br />of Maidstone. <br />2. That the said lands, when so acquired, shall be retained by the <br />Corporation of the County of Essex for the purpose of restricting access <br />to the intersection of Tecumseh Road and Patillo Road in the Township <br />of Maidstone. <br />This By -law shall come into full force and effect upon the final <br />passing thereof after it has received the approval of the Minister of <br />Municipal Affairs. <br />FINALLY PASSED this 20th day of February, A.A. 1983. <br />1st reading — February 20, 1963. <br />2nd reading — February 20, 1963. <br />3rd reading — February 20, 1963. <br />P.
