HE MARCH SPECIAL SESSION, 1957 BY -LAW NUMBER 1257 A BY -LAW OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX TO LEVY THE COUNTY OF ESSEX RATES TO PROVIDE FOR THE MONIES PAYABLE TM DER THE HIGHWAY TiMPRGVEMENT ALT AND FOR THE GENERAL EXPENSES OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX FOR THE YEAR 1967. WHEREAS, it has been deemed expedient by the Cmmeil ad Ile Corporation of the County of Essex that there shall be raised, levied and collected in the different Towns, Villages and Townships in the County of Essex the several amounts set opposite itheir names is so schedule hereto attached and which forms part of ithis By -law. BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNM OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX AS FOLLOWS: 1. That there shall be raised, levied and collected at the tab of 4.04 mills on the Dollar, upon the whole rateable property In tie County of Essex for the purpose of raising the sum of Three Hundred and Eighty -eight Thousand and Ninety -five Dollars and Fifty -five Ceab ($388,095.55) being the amount estimated to cover the General Expeow for the Current Year, the annual amount to be raised Wider this By -law. 2. And it is further enacted by virtue of the Highway Improve meat Act, and amendments thereto, there shall be raised, levied sad collected upon the whale rateable property in the County of Fsmx, at the Tate of 4.26 mills on the dollar, for -the purpose of raising the sum of Four Hundred and Nine Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty- nine Dollars and Forty -seven Cents ($406,229.47) the amoust required for the County Road System for the County of Essex for the year 1967. 3. And it is further enacted that the several asseasments above shall be apportioned against and borne by the different Municipsh- ties in the proportion hereinafter mentioned and that the several sums set opposite the name of each ,Municipality for the several rates for which they are designated and shall be paid into the bands of the Treasurer within the time provided by By -law, to be applied for the several purposes mentioned in this By -law.
