BY-LAW NUMBER 140.1 A BY-LAW OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX TO LEVY THE COUNTY OF ESSEX RATES TO PROVIDE FOR THE MONIES PAYABLE UNDER THE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT ACT AND FOR THE GENERAL EXPENSES OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX FOR THE YEAR 1961. WHEREAS, it has been deemed expedient by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex that there shall be raised, levied, and collected in the different Towns, Villages, and Townships in the County of Essex the several amounts set opposite their names in the schedule hereto attached and which forms part of this By-law. BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE NUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX AS FOLLOWS: 1. That there shall be raised, levied, and collected at the rate of ~72_~ mills on the dollar, upon the whole rateable property in the County of ~. Essex fPr the purpose of raising the sum of ~ ~,~.~'~ being the amount estimat6d'to cover the General E~p~nses for the current year, the annual amount to be raised under this By-law. 2. And it is further enacted by virtue of the Highway Improvement Act, and amendments thereto, there shall be raised, levied, and collected upon the whole rateable property in the County of Essex, at the rate of ~*. mills on the dollar, for the purpose of raising ~he sum of the amount required for the Count~ Road System ~or the County of Essex for the year 1961. 3.
