FORM MR--6 NOV. 58 A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE 19 61 NO. 1397 EXPENDITURES ON ROADS UNDER THE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT ACT IN THE COUNTY OF E~a~t WHEREAS The Highway Improvement Act requires that the total expenditure on roads be provided for annually by county by-law and that the by-law be submitted to the Minister of Highways for approval. THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the said County enacts as follows: (1) The sum of $660:000.00 is hereby estimated as the expenditure upon the construction and maintenance of the roads and bridges under its jurisdiction during the year 19 6]. as follows:- ROADS BRIDGES AND CULVERTS NEW MACHINERY $ SUPERINTENDENCE AND OVERHEAD $ TOTALS CONSTRUCTION $ 299;000,~0 $ 15,000.00 Nil 16,000.00 $ 300,000.00 MAINTENANCE TOTAL $ 335~300,00 $ 602, ...... $ 7,500.00 $ $ nil $ Nil $ 19,200.00 $ 35;200:00 $ 360,000.00 $ 660:000.00 (2) The said monies shall be expended under the supervision of the duly appointed county road superintendent and on work performed in accordance with The Highway Improvement Act. (3) The clerk shall transmit duplicate copies of this by-law to the district office of the Municipal Roads Branch, Department of Highways, not later than March 31st, of the said year. (4) The approval of the Ontario Municipal Board shall be obtained before any ex- penditure is authorized or work commenced which will be financed by the issue of deben- tures or m~aised in a subsequent year.
