THE CCRPG{ATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY-LAW NO. 1~..~~ A by-law to authorize the construction of an addition to the Registry Office at an estimated cost of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars. WHEREAS the Council has determined it is desirable to construct an addition to the Registry Office at an estimated cost of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.60); AND WHEREAS it is the intention of Council to provide i~ the estimates for the year 1961 an amount of Ninety- Five Hundred Dollars ($9,500. OO); THEREFCRE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex ENACTS AS FOLLCNS: 1. That an addition to the Registry Office shall be constructed at an estimated cost of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars 2. That the Firm of Sheppard~ Masson, Brand & Langlois, shall forthwith make such plans~ profiles and specifications and furnish such information as may be necessary for the making of a contract for the execution of such worke 3. That the work shall be carried on and executed under the supervision and according to the direction and orders of the firm of Sheppard~ Masson, Brand & Langlois. 4. That the Warden and Clerk are authorized to cause a contract for the construction of the work to be made and entered into with some person or persons, firm or corporation subject to the approval of the Council to be declared by a Resolutione 5. That the Treasurer may (subject to the approval of Council) agree with any Bank or person for temporary advances of money to meet the cost of the work pending the completion of it. 6. That there shall be raised in the year 1961 by a special rate on all the rateable property of all the municipalities comprising the County of Essex the sum of Ninety-Five Hundred Dollars ($9,500.00) to pay the cost of the work but no greater rate shall be levied in the year 1961 for such purpose than is req~.red to pay the cost of the work after takin~ into account receipts from any source in respect to the said worke
