A BYLAW OF THE COUNT~ OF ESSEX TO LEV! THE COUNT~ OF ESSEX RATES TO PROVIDE FOR THE MONIES PA~ABLE UNDER THE HIGHWA~ IMPROV~m~ENT ACT AND FOR THE GENERAL EXPENSES OF THE COUNT~ OF ESSEX FOR THE ~F~R 1954e WHEREAS, it has oeen deemed expedient by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex that there shall be raised, levied and collected in the different Towns, villages and Townships in the County of Essex, the several amounts set opposite their names in the Schedule hereto annexed and forms part of this B~law. BE IT T~EFORE ENACTED B~ THE MUNISIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTA OF ESSEX AS FOLLOWS: Le That there shall be raised, levied and collected at the rate of .. j~ .,mills on the dollar, upon the whole rateable property in the County of Essex for the purpose of raising the sum of ~.o. i~r~ & F~f.ty.-/~e. ~o.u~. ~e.v~$t ~dF~.~ ~ 2~rty-fiwe ) Dollars & forty-five cents~ being the amount estimated to cover the General Expenses for the Current year, the annual amount to be raised under this Bylawe 2. And it is further enacted by virtue of the Highway Improvement Act, and amendments thereof, there shall be raised, levied, and collected upon the whole rateable property in the County of Essex, at the rate of .. 3.....mills on the dollar, for the purpose of raising the sum of ~t Au~d~.eA & F.o~y~.t~r~. 2Ao.u~Av~. ~td~.~ A ~e. llars ninety-eight ce the amount required for the County Road System for the County of Essex, ~ And it is further enacted that the several assessments above shall be apportioned against and borne by tho different Municipalities in the proportion hereinafter mentioned and that the several sums set opposite the name of each Municipality for the several rates for which they are designated and shall be paid into the hands of the ~ Treasurer within the time provided by Bylaw, to be applied for the several purposes mentioned in this Bylawe .warden
