BYLAW NOo l161e A BYLAW OF THE COUNTX OF ESSEX TO LEVX THE COUNT~ NATE TO PROVIDE FOR THE MONIES PAYABLE UNDER THE HIGHWAi IMPROVEMENT ACT AND FOR THM_, GENERAL EXPENSES OF THE COUN~~ OF ESSEX for the year 1953, WHEREAS~ it has been deemed expedient by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex, that there shall be raised, levied and collected in the different TOwns, villages, and Townships in the County of Essex, the several amounts set opposite their names in the Schedule hereto annexed and forms part of this Bylaw, BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Council of the Corpom~tion of the County of Essex as follows; 1~ That there shall be raised , levied and collected at the rate of~$~...mills on the Dollar, upon the whole rateable property in the County of Essex, for the purpose 0~ raising the sum ofO~... ~.~~. ?~i~ii.~. ~"~. ~.~~., ~~~ .~~..~OODollars($.~,~.~ ~.~.~.'..~.~.~ ~.. ) being the amount estimated to cover the General Expenses for the Current year~ the annual amounts to be raised under this Bylaw. 2. AND IT IS FURTHER ENACTED by virtue of the Highway Improvement Act, and amendments thereof, there shall be levied, raised, amd collected upon the whole rateable property in the County of Essex, at the rate pf .~.:.....mills on the Dollar ~'~.~'~,~.~00,0llarS($.~. ~.~.~. ~..~,?~/~,?..) the amo,,nt required for the County Road System for the County of Essexe 3~ AND IT IS FURTHER ENACTED that the several assessments above shall be ap- portioned against and borne by the different Municipalities in the proportion hereinafter mentioned and that the several sums set opposite the name of each Municipality for the several rates for which they are designated and sh~ be paid into the hands of the Treasurer within the time provided by Bylaw, to be applied for t he several purposes mentioned in this ~ylaw. passed in open %uncil this o........~ of March, 1953~ ....
