THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY -LAW NUMBER 1908 A by -law to authorize the execution of Agreements pertaining to Sanitary Landfill Districts I, II and III. WHEREAS Section 377(5) of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 249 empowers The Corporation of the County of Essex to enter into agreement with one or more municipalities to provide for joint management and operation of garbage collection and disposal systems, and for the establishment of joint boards of management therefor. AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient for The Corporation of the County of Essex to join with other municipalities to provide for sanitary disposal systems and joint boards of management therefor. NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: - 1. THAT the Warden and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute the Agreements described below and to affix thereto the seal of the Corporation: (a) An Agreement dated the 1st day of January, 1970 between The Corporation of the County of Essex and the Corporations of: the Towns of Amherstburg, Essex and Harrow, and the Townships of Anderdon, Malden, Colchester South, Colchester North, Sandwich West and Sandwich South pertaining to Sanitary Landfill District I. (b) Agreements dated the 30th day of December, 1969 and the 1st day of January, 1970 between The Corporation of the County of Essex and the Corporations of: the Towns of Leamington and Kingsville, and the Townships of Mersea, Gosfield North and Gosfield South pertaining to Sanitary Landfill District II. (c) An Agreement dated the 1st day of January, 1970 between The Corporation of the County of Essex and the Corporations of: the Towns of Tecumseh and Belle River, the Village of St. Clair Beach, and the Townships of Maidstone, Rochester, Tilbury North and Tilbury West pertaining to Sanitary Landfill District III.
